I usually stay in Comfort Inn when I travel and this trip was no different. Wonderful stay even though the hotel was sold out of rooms with 2 beds. We made the best of it though. Staff was great and helpful.

Our College Concert Choir traveled to Detroit from Alabama a few weeks ago and stayed two nights at Comfort Inn. The location was within walking distance to Riverwalk, and we took the Q line to see downtown. The hotel is small, but the staff is SO AWESOME!! They were helpful with telling our large group where to go for food and sightseeing. Also, the manager (Joe), was AMAZING when it came to making sure we were taken care of. We have been "singing your praises" since we've come back to Alabama! Thanks for the superb hospitality!

I was looking for a hotel that was a short drive to the Henry Ford Hospital. We were arriving late and checking out early, so a basic hotel was all we needed. The Comfort Inn was perfect under the circumstances. It's 15 minute drive to the hospital. Breakfast is included and it was good. Coffee was excellent too. The neighbourhood seemed safe and there was plenty of free parking.

Staff were very friendly and courteous. The night manager was very social and treated everyone he saw well. There is a 'bar' in the lobby too. It's basically a closet where you can buy beer, shots, wine, etc.

The room was up to par. The king size bed was comfortable. The AC was on when we arrived (much appreciated). There is a no smoking policy at the hotel but our room had a faint whiff of smoke and there were cigarette stains on the side of the large Jacuzzi tub in the bathroom. No smoking means no smoking and all guests should respect that fact.

Room Tip: Rooms at the end of the halls may be a bit noisier as smokers tend to assemble near the exits.

We chose this hotel for the proximity to Greektown and Ford Field for a first time ever trip there. Because they had a shuttle running repeatedly from 4 p.m. on Saturday for Greektown and 10 a.m. on Sunday morning to take us to the Lions game, we couldn't have had an easier or more convenient trip. We were able to leave our vehicle at the hotel and come back after the game and pick it up. The shuttle bus driver we had, Rich, was personable and fun to ride with! There was also another driver, Andre, who we didn't ride with. When we got to the hotel early we were checked in quickly so we could nap before our evening out at Greektown. When the TV remote didn't work, the gentleman at the desk, Joe I believe, came and reprogrammed it for us right away. Everyone was helpful and nice. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Very quiet all night with no hotel or street noise in our room. Nice bathroom with limited counter space as usual. The tub was a spa with a pull out shower but the advantage of that was I could have a HOT shower which I enjoyed. Breakfast was the usual Choice fare with cold boiled eggs which I prefer to the fried egg mix that is often all that is available. It was a very busy morning so the attendent had a hard time keeping up with cleaning tables and filling the trays because they finish breatfast there at 9:30 and we were one of the many stragglers. A very good stay and we will definitely be back.

Room Tip: If you want a spa room be aware there isn't a separate shower.

This was my wife's and my first visit to Detroit and our first time staying at a Comfort Inn, the desk staff headed by both Andre and Steve were just absolutely wonderful and accommodating in every way from check in to check out and every day and night in between, friendly and helpful whenever called upon. The shuttle service they offered was super and helped us to plan our added visit across the boarder to Windsor Ontario, Canada with ease. The other staff and food service at the Continental Breakfast could not have been nicer and helpful. If you are looking for a nice place to stay while in Detroit for a very reasonable rate and don't need all of the bells and whistles this is it, very nicely located near the downtown area with a super staff to welcome you and make your stay a great one, this is the place, we are so happy we chose this one for our stay and will always consider it for any return trip to Detroit in the future, absolutely made our mini get a way trip one we will remember, great place with awesome staff!!!!

Room Tip: Corner Room nice and quiet
