Have visited the Maslin beach on a fine sunny day, went there via Tuitt Road which is the southern end of the beach. The car park location is on the higher ground on top the cliffs, you need to walk down the stairs to the beach front.
As this area is on the higher ground, it offers spectacular view across the entire Maslin beach. This place is highly recommended for photo taking. After you visit this place you can proceed along Esplanade road south bound to visit Aldinga beach.
Recommendation: On the higher ground, it is very windy, flying a kite here could be fun.
Very pretty quite beach, great for long walks and it is pet friendly, also you can bath nude if you desire.
Its nice and if your up for the nudity go for it! Be warned-people may come and try to talk to you and give you their 'nudist' card-so if your shy bring a towel to cover up when they wonder by. Over all its a nice place and big enough that you can have some space. The water isnt too rough and its nicely nestled in front of some clifts.
We spent a couple of hours at Maslin Beach yesterday. It is a beautifully clean, unspoilt, long beach which has not changed at all in the last 40 years. White sand, an aquamarine blue sea, fishermen casting rods from the shore, people walking, a wedding photo session in progress and large seagulls flying over the sand dunes. Total relaxation. There is a separate, signed section for "unclad" people at the very Southern end of the beach.
There are 2 car parks, the southern car park is the best! Walk to the breakwater and you have the best spot for Mullet around March/April filling your bag limit within an a couple of hours, Walking South into the nudist part is a great sandy beach to catch Bungem worms! These are hard to collect if you are a novice. Once you have the nack you could make a part time living out of them. (Mind you, you need a licence if you sell to a fishing shop.) Walk down to the far Southern end of the Bay and search the soft cliffs (Be careful) Do not climb as very crumbly, but look hard and you could find fossilised shells.
make sure when you go to Maslins Beach its warm. the water at this beach is crystal clear the sand is a beautiful colour. Just a stunning beach but is a bit of a drive. :)
