I had been at Assembly Row for dinner one night and walked by this beautiful Cafe. I returned days later with a friend to walk around the area and waterfront and then to enjoy Cofee and a pastry. The cafe is just lovely and comfortable seating. They have recreated a Parisean cafe.

We enjoyed cappuccino and flaky delicious Pastery. Absolutely delicious ! You order at a front counter with all the beautiful pasteries on display and your order is brought to your table in lovely white French white dishes - no paper cups and plates. So chic.

Perfect spot to relax, chat, or enjoy a book.

They also serve other food throughout the day and evening - will return to check it out.

They don't have a large menu. They have several quiches - I had the Quiche Lorraine and that was very good. They have premade sandwiches. One was like a Caprice sandwich where the mozzarella is replaced by 'goat cheese'. That's not feta but something that is like a combo of feta and cream cheese. I've only had that in Paris - so that took me back.
I ate at the Paul's food cart in Paris also.
The area around the restaurant is the Assembly Row and has some cool upscale stores. It's a nice place to hit.

Great place with charming ambience. Difficult to select a pastry or sandwich, they all looked soooo good.
Loved the chocolate hazelnut muffin especially.

The pastries looks very good with perfect presentation but when enjoy it the taste is poor or exaggeratedly sweet. The example more disappointing was I love the elephant ears but here they are hard and cold I think to spend a lot of time in selling the bread.

There is really nothing special about Paul. I was excited about getting brunch here and perused the menu in advance. When you walk in, they only have pastries out and staff barely acknowledges your existence. There is no menu and the staff does not offer one either. They ran out of coffee mugs about 10 min after opening... And only 3 customers (including my friend) had mugs. The pastries are ok. Again, nothing special. I would never go back. Huge disappointment.
