We wanted to avoid traffic near the Mall in DC without paying 300/night and this hotel seemed to work. We were just there for one night and before we even got the room key we were using the shuttle around noon: They offer a free shuttle service to the metro station and when you return, you simply call them to shuttle you back. It works out well as the Metro for my wife and I cost around 13 a day.

The room was clean and comfortable. I had one of the best nigh's sleep in years. We ate breakfast in the morning which was pretty good for a hotel breakfast. Our only issue was a sluggish internet connection and it's still rather pricey for a Tuesday night ~180/night, but it is July...the busy season.

I'd definitely use this hotel again, but I think the you're better served to visit DC in the cooler months due to both the costs and the walking you do to see the attractions.

I stayed here for a week during a business trip the second week of July 2016. Although it appeared the furnishings were new, I found the room to be pretty much average. The wireless internet is awful. They operate 2 different routers with 2 different IDs. But connections to my phone, tablet, and laptop were always having to be re-logged in even after short period of time and there were times that, even though it says I was connected, there was no data being transferred. This made for very frustrating times when trying to work. Good thing I has extra clothes. The washers were so dirty, like someone washed greasy clothes and left them, I opted to bring my clothes home versus washing them there. Tried to use the pool when I had some time off, but found their hours to be pretty strange. Come to find out, the county the hotel is in requires it to have a lifeguard. The elevators are hit-and-miss. I got on one to leave for work one day, hit the lobby button, the doors shut and the elevator just sat there. I pushed another floor; still nothing. Not wanting to get stuck on this thing right before work, I chose to get off and use the stairs. If you don't mind occasionally walking through cigarette smoke to get into the hotel, then this place is for you. All things aside, I can say the staff was accommodating and pleasant.

Greeted by Manager Steven. Very friendly, professional and hospitable. Called ahead and our room was ready. Hotel is located with easy access off of the highway and near shopping and restaurants. The front desk has several menus for restaurants that deliver to the hotel. Close to FEDEX field.

Hotel is clean, modern and looks recently upgraded. Rooms were very spacious and clean. Beds a little too soft for our tastes, but slept well.

Would definitely stay here again.
