The hotel is hidden in a small alcove therefore is may be a little hard to find. As I checked in the front desk representative was pleasant and all smiles. He recognized me as a Spire Elite member, presented me with a room upgrade, and offered me incentives of either points or a gift bag containing goodies.
As I entered my room I noticed how large it was. It contained a separate room with the sitting area and another room containing a king size bed. Both rooms contained a HD flat screen TV plus the sitting area had a mini-fridge and microwave.
The vanity sink area was separate from the toilet and shower area and had enough counter space for all of my personal items. The toilet and shower area was large and well lit. The water pressure from the shower head was adequate but I prefer an invigorating shower in the mornings. All areas were clean.
The king bed was comfortable and had a choice of firm or soft pillows. Unfortunately, the traffic noise from the highway I-495 located next to the hotel filtered into the room which made for a restless night. To overcome the traffic noise, I had to keep the fan running on the room air handler to drown out the traffic noise
.
The Wi-Fi was reliable but only had an average speed 0f 3.25 Mbps which is slow in my opinion. I have stayed at other hotels where the Wi-Fi speed was in excess of 30 Mbps.
The breakfast offered was the usual Holiday Inn Express fanfare but was not very flavorful. Overall if I am in the area again, I will stay here.
