My wife and I were looking for dinner and just happened to be in Dayton on a Saturday night around 6pm. The parking lot was almost full and we got inside just in time to get one of the last couple tables. We ordered a couple cups of Maryland Crab Soup, I ordered the Fried Oyster Platter with Cole Slaw and Broccoli, and my wife got the Meat Ball Sub Special. Add a couple IPA's and some water and what do you have, a great meal. Even though it was busy and pretty tight quarters, my wife and I sat next to a retired physician and his wife and we all had some very pleasant conversation. We have been to the Crossroads Pub numerous times and always enjoy ourselves. If you have not been there, please take the time to drive there.

I have been coming here off and on for the past 10 years. I heard they recently got a new owner. I've never had a bad experience here. It is kind of pricey though.

I love finding a good place to eat on a spontaneous whim when not really searching for a place to eat. I did use Trip Advisor for this find. It is a clean little pub semi full of the locals and in my estimation in the middle of nowhere but close enough to western Baltimore. It's a typical Maryland pub but extremely clean and family oriented. Pub is almost a misnomer but they do offer beer on tap. Wine however being offered is expensive for the small pour so I suggest sticking to beer. The service is friendly enough but with the local it could use some improvement as when asking for the ketchup we were given a very empty bottle to use. Now their crab cake is very very good with little breaking. Good flavor and for normal appetites, one is enough. The crab dip is also exceptional. The shrimp is fresh as well. I love being able to taste the seafood with no added spiciness to the dish. I would definitely order crab upon my return. With the exception given to the onion rings the sides are just average so don't get excited about the sides. Crab is worth the meal if you love crab!

Though it was a long drive from our home, my companion and I decided to try this restaurant for their well-known delicious crab cakes and steamed crabs. I did not even know that there is a Dayton, Maryland. It is located near Columbia, Maryland.

Steamed Maryland crabs are available at this restaurant. It's too much "messy work" getting the meats from these crabs so we opted for crab cakes. Two side orders came with these crab cakes - I had macaroni cheese and coiled fries. My companion had apple sauce and baked potato.

We truly enjoyed our delicious big crab cakes - pure crab meats, no fillers. For dessert, we shared the warm apple crumb cake.

I plan to invite my 3 friends to dine at this restaurant. Service was fast and friendly. There is ample parking outside this restaurant. Hope I remember how to drive back to this restaurant!

Tip: The crab cake is big so just order one. Enjoy it with your 2 side orders.
