This place took ages to find and to be honest I was disappointed when we did eventually get to it.

It was a busy bank holiday lunch, so we were seated in the marquee.

The menu was a disappointment, very dated.

Best thing about the place was the Pinot Grigio and the walnut bread

Wouldn’t rush back

Giant Yorkshire puddings jam packed with Sunday dinner inside.

It was absolutely delicious. The Yorkshire pudding whilst massive was so light to eat. The vegetables were cooked to perfection and the meat too.

Unfortunately I didn’t manage to eat it all.
My eyes were bigger than my belly.

A superb meal in pleasant surroundings on a dreary day.

I would recommend the Crooked Billet to everyone.

A most enjoyable visit.

From the welcome to paying the bill, everything excellent. First class menu, with the meals to match the fulsome choice. Haven't been here for 5 years or more but just as good now as last time. Will come back sooner, problem is we live 250 miles away.

While it's really secluded and tucked away at the bottom of a narrow lane, the Crooked Billet never fails to impress and delight. The food is great and the staff are a complete joy. After many years, this is really the benchmark for all gastropods.

We enjoyed a wonderful meal here, another special trip from Horsham W.Sussex just to come here to celebrate my father's birthday. Even though the drive is 2 hours each way, we were delighted with the service, quality and portion size. It is fairly expensive, but, it really is worth It....If you appreciate great food. If you're a foodie come here. The waiters are great, lots of advice and interested in their job.
I hope they can keep up the high standards all round, we will com6back again.
