We had coffee there a few times and lunch once. I had the Reuben and my wife had the soup & sandwich. All were very good. Indoor and outdoor seating.

This was our first visit to Winter Harbor while visiting the Schoodic Peninsula--the quite part of the Acadia National Park. We stopped at the J.M. Gerrish Cafe. It was a real gem!! It was quaint and haddock great selection, including ice cream! We had chicken salad sandwiches (we were tired of lobster rolls by the time we visited Winter Harbor). They were delicious--one homemade bread. We also had a dish of ice cream before leaving. I have to give kudos to Alice! She was our waitress and was TERRIFIC!! She was friendly, funny and gave us tips regarding places to see in Winter Harbor. She is a great asset to the cafe. The baked goods looked really good too, but we were too full to try them!! Don't miss this gem in Winter Harbor!

Go. Order. Eat. This is the place! In town, charming, but limited, outdoor tables. Seating inside too. You can even get this landmark clam chowder "to go". Such a dish!

This place was recommended by the ferry crew and it was a treat. We ate breakfast on the porch in the very quiet village of Winter Harbor. All four of us were most satisfied with the meal and bought pastries for our bike tour. Later in the afternoon we returned for ice cream. Obviously we were all pleased with the restaurant.
