Really good breakfast place, one of the best ones in Portland. Came here a while ago, got the el rancho verde with a side of gumbo and corn bread. Everything was amazing. There's usually a wait on the weekends but def worth the wait. Overall very good experience, would def stop by the next time I'm in Portland.

Great cajun food in Portland. Only open for breakfast & lunch, but the portions are huge, quality excellent, in a funky, pleasant atmosphere with excellent service. Home made muffins, cornbread, and french toast are super.

I usually don't find Jambalaya as good as my own. This place rivals.
Good coffee too.
Cornbread also excellent. Service good. Waitress knew the menu and recommended Jambalaya based on my questions. She was correct.
Cool atmosphere. A real dinner feel with good food.

Another great breakfast at bayou kitchen.
Haven't been in a while and had forgotten how good the food is.
Got my huevos ranchero fix. Best in town.

Have been many times to this small, cozy place. Exceptional omelets and pancakes, and there's always something on the specials board. Serves up Louisiana love in the form of crawfish, grits, and spiciness, if you want to try them. Plenty of basics too, if you prefer. It can get crowded on the weekend, and you can understand why.
