If Portland was not a city of great restaurants, than this would be a better rating. Boone’s was fine, but fails in comparison to others in the area. The service was prompt and friendly. The lobster role was good, not memorable. The baked stuffed shrimp was butterflies shrimp placed on top of a dish of stuffing. The stuffing was rich and tasty. The shrimp was unevenly cooked, and the roasted potatoes lacked seasoning. The food was not bad, just not worth the price.

Four adults in our party were warmly welcomed at the door. The gentleman who greeted us thanked us for coming! So surprised! In Boston, you just don't seem to get the warm welcome, nor do you get the luxury of a long-lingering lunch on a Friday afternoon. The fireplace was genuine, our server was attentive. We all had a cup of chowder. Our party had the Scallop BLT (great), the fish tacos (great) and 2 other equally delicious selections. The leftovers were packaged and thoughtfully labeled to take home. We will look forward to coming back next time in Portland.

The restaurant was lovely and inviting. I ordered a fish sandwich for lunch and was so disappointed with it. It was battered and deep fried and so horribly greasy. I couldn't taste the fish. It was like the cook didn't have the oil at the right temperature. Maybe it was just a bad day, but I never would've served it.

Well, I don’t really know where to start with this review, happy hour drinks, are amazing since we don’t have happy hour at home, so $3 for a glass of wine or a beer is amazing! We also order the happy hour calamari, which was very disappointing, I think it was because it was served in a very small bowl, but I’m not a chef, so I might be wrong. It did have a nice flavor, but the breading to our calamari just came right off, which was not very appetizing at all, thankfully our cheap drinks made up for our cheap calamari!

Cozy restaurant right on the harbor with plenty of choices if you're looking for fresh seafood! Warm and cozy, with terrific stone fireplace. A tad on the noisy side so be prepared to talk loudly to converse with your dinner partner(s). Food is very good. One of our party specifically ordered the Blue Plate Special (Seafood Stuffed Haddock) because she's had it here before and loves it. She was not disappointed this time either. I had the Shrimp Scampi which was very good, in a sherry cream sauce, stuffed with crab, scallops and lobster. Very good helping size of creme brulee for dessert!
