Stumbled into Andy's by accident on Saturday to have a drink and watch the Masters. The drinks were great, in fact I commented that my Manhattan was fantastic. Not everybody gets it right. Nice size, not the biggest but not those tiny glasses either.
We ordered a few aps, clam chowder, fried oysters and clams and a bowl of mussels. The chowder came out quick but the the fried food and mussels took forever. We wern't in a big hurry but we finally asked about the aps. Wanted to be certain they were ordered. They apologized of course and said the kitchen was slow. No worries, we were just happy things were on the way. the food was fine, maybe the mussels could have been hotter but they were acceptable.
I have to say that the service here was great. Everybody was very attentive and very cordial.
So, here's the lucky part. They took the aps off the bill. I said it wasn't necessary because the food was fine and we were not in a hurry. They felt the delay in presenting the food was beneath their standards (not their words) and took the aps off the bill. Now that's a place that cares about their customers!! I told them I would write a nice review.
The food here was great, the atmosphere is pub-ish vs restaurant but very nice. The people showed that they care.
I'd go back.
