Great place to pick your own lobster and try a classic Maine boiled lobster. They also have other great things on the menu. Everyone enjoyed their meai - adults, teans and kids

You can choose your lobster from the large tank outside of the Lobster Pound. The kids love to watch them swim around. We arrived early, which meant we had no problem parking and no wait for a table, but by the time we left, folks were sitting in chairs out front and we could hear the names being called as tables became available. This year we had the steamed mussels before our lobster. Both were heavenly. The mussels were sweet and the lobster tender and luscious. The sides of cole slaw and mashed potatoes were very good. They were real potatoes. Perhaps the mussels were a mistake, because then we were too stuffed for pie.

We were passing through Ogunquit. Decided to stop for dinner and saw this restaurant and it looked inviting. The place was packed. The lobster was excellent, plus delicious freshly-baked bread, and we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. Price was very reasonable for the quality of the food.

If you like lobster and that outdoor woods feel, this may be the place for you. It opens at 4:30pm and is always packed by 5 or so. I would recommend getting there right when it opens or a little bit after. Even though we have never picked a lobster and watch them boil it we have seen a lot of people do this. We however just like to sit and order our food. The inside looks like an old wooden cabin, the staff have always been enjoyable and helpful. The food was fine and cooked to our specifications and always hot when coming to the table. Lobster is always fresh and we haven't had any issues like some of the other reviewers. Great atmosphere, very relaxing for us and the food was great.

Went last year, had an over cooked lobster. This year, we thought we’d try it again. Well, once again, we got an over cooked, dry lobster. So not worth the money. We were at The Lobster Shack in Perkins Cove a few days ago. Now that, is something to write home about. Well worth the wait if the line is long.
