We stayed in the main inn. The best part about our room was the view, and the deck that overlooked it. Our room was like a one bedroom apartment which sounds great, but sadly wasn't. There was a small very dated couch in the living room - the kind of couch that you can't lean against the back of the couch and keep your feet on the floor (and I'm tall). It was very uncomfortable for my husband and I. There was a small table and chairs in the kitchen area, but it was not comfortable to sit at for any period of time. The bed was very comfortable; however, they have something under the sheets that made a loud crinkling noise anytime you moved. It sounded like we were sleeping on plastic. I don't know if that was related to COVID precautions, but it kept my husband up all night (he moves around a lot). In addition, the bedroom has a wall air conditioner that was incredibly loud. Bathroom was immaculate and updated. Both of our showers were luke warm. We ended up leaving early and eating the fee for the second night. We were disappointed - there are a lot of hotel options in that location, do your research and compare.

Just spent a wonderful long weekend at the Beachmere Inn. It was great to return here again. We felt safe, comfortable, and very welcome by the staff members. You really can’t beat the beautiful ocean views, access to the beach and the Marginal Way, and of course the sunrise over the ocean each morning.

We stayed 2 nights in the South Building section in a The property is well maimanicured with chaise lounges and Adirondack chairs tastefully arranged on the lush lawn. The complementary breakfast was scrumptious...homemade blueberry muffins, coffee cakes, granola, fruit, hard boiled eggs. Coffee, tea and water as well as complementary DVDs are available in the lobby. The staff is pleasant and professional. We loved sitting on the porch by the gas fire table on the porch with coffee and the best view of the ocean. Walk the Marginal Way adjacent to the property, into town, on the beach. We never moved the car. Their small restaurant, Blue Bistro serves lunch and dinner. We ate there each day. We have vacationed in Ogunquit for over 50 years. I always wanted to stay here someday. Finally someday happened. Wish we started earlier. We look forward to our next visit.

We have visited Beachmere Inn numbers of times, always in the off season. Our previous visit to Beachmere Inn was in late Feb., 2020. Little did we know what was ahead of us! Now we have returned to "break the fast", so to speak. We bracketed our year, plus, of isolation with visits to the beautiful Maine coast, and our favorite place to stay by the sea. The modifications made at Beachmere made us feel safe. One significant thing is that, in addition to dining in the modified Blue Bistro (that's another review!), take out and room service is now available. We dined in the Bistro and also had room service for breakfasts. As usual the Inn was clean and well appointed. We did not want, and it was not offered, room cleaning during our stay. Had we wanted clean towels, more toiletries, or coffee packets, they would have been delivered. As always, the staff was welcoming and friendly. In a way, it felt like visiting a relative.

Room tip: All rooms offer views of the ocean.
