Party of 11 stopped in for breakfast. This is an older establishment but the service and food were excellent. There as plenty of food on the plate and the price was very low. Our waitress did a bang up job handling our large party which also included two children.

Good food, good prices, friendly staff. Great place to take the family for a good meal and you wont leave hungry.

We were in Mexico, Maine to visit Rare Woods International. We were looking for a place to eat lunch and we stopped into Dick's Restaurant.
The place is very cozy and filled with local citizens.
I had a Cheeseburger with fries and a salad.
The burger was good enough and the fries were excellent.
The waitress was very friendly.
Just a decent local place to try out.

We had met with a friend after a 3 hour drive for lunch. We had hoped for some great dinner food. Our expectations weren't exactly high. My son ordered some pancakes and he didn't like them stating they tasted like corn bread. My husband ordered Pam's special didn't like it. It stated it came with American cheese which was slapped on top a barely melted square of cheese. I ordered the Mexican and expected some savory Mexican flavors. I got scrambled eggs filled with what appeared to be canned chili ... the most I can say was that it was edible and I didn't get sick from it. The service was not good. After seating ourselves at a table, we had to get our own menus. We asked for milk for coffee and got creamer tubs ... we had to go up to the counter area and ask for the milk. We received our meals ... but again we were up at the counter service area asking for forks which none of us had.

This place is an institution. When I was a kid and growing up in town, this was where the cool teenagers hung out, got sodas and ate Italian sandwiches. That was almost fifty years ago - wow. Now, it's expanded and serves breakfast as a sit down place. The prices are fantastic and the service is prompt and courteous. Most of the customers are local and that makes it even more charming. The food is basic, hot, and good. How much can you do with eggs, bacon, ham, toast, etc...? And, honestly, that's all I really want for breakfast. I respect small businesses and this one deserves to be given a chance. Don't go there expecting fancy but just go hungry. You won't be disappointed.
