This is not your typical motel. It is rustic and rural, yet very clean and well kept. The deck offered a wonderful place to sit and read while looking at the water. The bed was very comfortable, and with the windows open, we got a great cross breeze. The restaurant was fantastic. Local fisherman were eating there, that should speak volumes about the food. It's a little off the beaten path, but only adds to the charm and atmosphere. If back in the area, we will definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: we stayed in the main lodge, as opposed to one of the cabins.

Our group ( 2 couples ) had an exceptional visit to goose cove and will be back. The location was stunning, the cabins were simple and clean - the gem was Suzen and her story...the drinks at the bar were exceptional delivered with Portuguese flair and flavor, our dinner on closing weekend was great and breakfast with her joining our table topped it off!

On each of our visits, we had a room on the deck, with a water view - simple and comfortable - we hiked around to the beach and thru the fir tree filled woods - the breakfasts were fantastic - eaten outside in the summer and in, come fall - the wait staff were personable and courteous -
Suzen, the owner, is always about, overseeing all with considerable charm and grace - her warm welcomes set the tone of our visits -
We like the simplicity and old time style - reminiscent of summers in Maine many years ago -

The place is absolutely beautiful. Suzen is a fantastic host and owner. I had the pleasure of tasting her homemade bread. I´ve seen comments saying that the property is in despair but in my opinion I think it´s cozy and rustic. There is a lot of garbage on the beach however but again I think thats because of the trash that comes in with the tide daily. Overall they have a fantastic staff from all over the world and you can see the attempt to provide the best service they can.

Looking forward to another season with them next year!!!

This little resort is located way off the beaten path and has stunning location right on the water. The restaurant on the property is very good and we found staff to be friendly and accommodating. Never saw the owners and we were there 3 days.

Cabins are basic and in need of updating from bathrooms to decor to bed linens. The most distressing thing is the trash that is everywhere; on the beach, piled up by the path to the beach, piled up by the restaurant. Trash like old plastic containers, bottles, buoys, wood...what appears to be old wooden shelters collapsed and left in piles...why don't they pick it up??? It's never going to be a fancy or sophisticated place, but could be much improved with a couple of loads of trash picked up and hauled away. We love out-of-the-way, interesting and eclectic spots, but the poor maintenance impacted on our enjoyment. I just can't believe this beautiful spot is being left to slowly fall down.
