Description: Come and visit us at King Eider's Pub in the heart of the coastal village of Damariscotta Maine. Our historic building has been home to many interesting businesses over its 100+ years. Today, its warmth draws the visitor into the first floor pub with its brick walls, handsome cherry floors and low beams hung with old iron hooks holding handmade mugs. Step upstairs to our warm and very comfortable dining room and peruse a “wine lovers” wine list. Our oyster bar is aptly named for the local Damariscotta River oysters that are served here in the intimate little bar and those oysters will quite literally spoil you for any other – anywhere! Our extensive menu and daily offerings of native seafood, steaks, cuts from our butcher and fresh produce will provide you with just the right pairing. King Eider's Pub is great! Been there many times but it's been a few years. Full bar and huge selection of Whiskeys and Scotch. Famous for their oysters this place has a great feel and of course wonderful selection of local sea food. Highly recommend!!

This is a hidden gem among the little shops in Damariscotta. Stop by for great food and drinks and pleasant staff. Good oysters, non fried fish n chips.

Three of us recently had lunch here (downstairs). Cozy, pub-like atmosphere, good service, tasty food. I had a lunch special, the Damariscotta Dip ($14.99) which was basically a French dip sandwich served on focaccia. It was huge (overstuffed with shaved prime rib)! It was tasty! It was messy (the focaccia should have been toasted to stand up to the jus)! The hand cut fries ($3.00) were delicious, hot and plentiful. One friend had the Rocket and Fruit salad ($9.99) and remarked that it was the best salad she ever ate. The other friend had the Seafood Pot Pie ($28.99) and loved it. We will definitely return.

Once again on a trip up to Mid Coast I had to stop for lunch at King Eider's Pub.
The food was excellent and the service was warm, friendly and attentive. I had the Eider Burger this time and it was cooked to perfection. The hand cut fries are addictive!.
My friend had the Ploughman's Platter, it was a perfect blend of meat, cheese, greens and fruit.
There is something for everyone.

Ate lunch here on the recommendation of the staff at Split Rock Distilling. It was a great choice.

The service was attentive without hovering. Had a signature salad with black bean/quinoa cakes. Delicious and filling, and I'm typically a carnivore!

Very convenient location next to Reny's and set back from the main street in town. Just a 3 minute walk from the parking on the water. Convenient to shopping in town.
