I sat at the bar, busy night 4 days before Christmas. I was intown working. I had a drink, Bayou Colada I believe. It was awesome. I ordered the Crawfish(fried and ettoufee), It was good, not great. And the portion seemed small. I followed up with gumbo. Good, not great.

Hotel recommended Dons so thats where we went. Everything was terrible. Started with hostess telling us there was a 1.5 hr wait. We put our name down anyway. Lucky to find 3 bar seats after about 20 min. 10 min after that the restaurant was half empty. Bartender/waitperson couldnt have had less of a personality and NEVER asked to refill drinks. Ordered 2 dozen grilled oysters - full of shells and had to beg for toast. Blackened redfish was full of bones. Fried catfish was soggy and mushy. Nobody at bar when we finished but had to beg for check.
Not sure why Dons was recommended but NEVER again with all the other choices around. NEVER.

We hadn't eaten here in awhile but it definitely did not disappoint. The staff were very friendly and did a fantastic job serving us. The food was excellent and definitely will go back!

I've been dining here regularly while working in the area. The food is always fresh and great, but it's the staff that keeps me coming back. Today I stopped in early and the bartender Lexie was preparing her bar and she stopped what she was doing to get me a softdrink and a menu with a hello and a smile. You may think it is because I'm a regular, but they've been this way since day one and that's why I kept coming back. If there's ever a miscommunication with the meal or something I think could be better, they always make it right!
