From the Airport pick up through the seemless check in in the room and the wonderful breakfast and dinners, we felt very pampered and made feel good. The villa with the private pool was immaculate and at a touch of button I got my extra espresso capsules and water (Free). They arranged the motorcycle rental and an intimate dinner with my wife in our villa. Look forward to be back soon!

Recently stayed between Christmas and New Years for 4 nights.
The restaurant where all the meals are taken has a stunning aspect overlooking the ocean. The food is good for the Philippines - quality can vary across the array of dishes.
The staff were extremely helpful including organising scooter hire.
The villa was by far the best aspect - beautiful design, comfortable with quality furnishings.
The pool area can be a bit exposed during daytime (little shade) so be careful with the sun.
My girlfriend feel in love with the inhabitants of the animal sanctuary - definitely check it out.
Thank you again for the hospitality !

Dear MikeMargaroni,

Thank you for your kind words. I've shared your comments with the team and everyone is very pleased, especially our animal sanctuary team.

It was our pleasure to help you and your girlfriend organize your trip. You and your girlfriend were very kind and it was very nice, for me and my team, to have you both in our property. We strive to make our guests' vacation as relaxing as possible so I really hope that we succeeded in that aspect.

Please do send me an email if you have plans to return to the island. Our Philippine Macaque, Maria, would love to groom your girlfriend's nails when you come back. :)

Warm Regards

We spent 7 nights at the Tarsier Botanica, over the New Year. We were picked up at the airport in an air-conditioned van (40 minutes drive), and everything after that was first rate. We stayed in one of the Pool Villas, which was very spacious, well appointed, and clean. A dip in our own pool after a day at the beach was a special treat. The restaurant has stunning views. Breakfast is nothing extravagant, but perfectly fine. Dinners that we had there were very tasty. Staff was very helpful with all our requests. While there is no beach right at the Resort, you can still sit by the ocean and go swimming on their corniche. For real beach experience, take the Resort shuttle to either Alona and Dumaluan Beach - both about 5 minutes drive away. Both beaches are lovely - we preferred Dumaluan as a beach (during the day), while Alona has a lot more going on in the evenings. You really can't go wrong.

We learned that the Resort is changing ownership soon, and that there may be some renovations done. From our perspective, the villa and the restaurant were already great, so hopefully they will just add to the excellent product they already have.

Dear Lucky v,
A warm greetings from Tarsier Botanika!
We would like to thank you for your kind words describing our resort. We have shared your comment to our team and they were delighted to hear it. We take pride in giving our guests the best services our resort can offer. Our corniche is a place to enjoy the crystal-clear water of Panglao while maintaining the privacy of our guests. We also provide a scheduled shuttle service to Alona beach where most of the people converge.
Paprika restaurant culinary offering matches its stunning view of the Bohol Sea, we appreciated your comment about our breakfast and rest assured we serve only fresh ingredients every day.
The resort has changed ownership and there are plans to expand the resort by adding additional rooms and outlets. Tarsier Botanika will be renamed as Donatela Hotel and our new management will keep the restaurant and villas that you love intact.
We hope to see you in your next vacation and thank you!

Sincerely yours,
Jhel Villaruel

In December I thoroughly enjoyed this sensational and luxuriously rustic resort which wowed me with the combination of what it offers, particularly its own private beach which has a beautiful house reef with corals, butterfly fish, turtles and more interesting sea life. Tarsier Botanika resort is a green, tranquil and refreshing oasis away from busy streets with its spacious villas surrounded with their own lush private secret gardens, ponds, pools and polite, efficient and helpful staff. Delicious food served efficiently with a breath-taking sea view from restaurant "Paprika". Good activity and facilities range: spa, day trips, pools, beach, snorkelling, diving, kayaking, horse riding, bird watching, gym, wi-fi and a free shuttle to Alona beach and town 10 minutes away where it also has another restaurant and shop with bakery making excellent cakes. For me this resort stands out due to its location, staff and great landscaping which kept half the natural vegetation and large trees of the Philippines within the resort's gorgeous large garden and grounds, attracting beautiful butterflies and birds to its natural vegetation that supports Philippine wildlife, and you don't have to go out of the resort to see it, I went on a lot of peaceful bird, tree and butterfly walks in the garden by myself. I will be back again to this peaceful natural oasis. A big thank you to all staff from Monika F. !

Room tip: All villas are great and have own private garden views, restaurant and private beach has stunning sea view.

Dear 000MonikaF,

Thank you for the excellent review. There is nothing more motivating for us than receiving feedback like yours.

We are glad you enjoyed the excellent wildlife that we have in our gardens, and in the waters close to the resort. The resort was really developed with the vegetation and wildlife in mind, and we are pleased that you appreciate all this. The team was more than happy to have you around and was even sad to see you leave after your extended stay with us.

We look forward to having you back with us soon Madam!

Warm Regards,

We stayed at Tarsier Botanika last December and it was an experience you would like to share with your family or friends specially if you're looking for a very quiet and serene place and a breath of fresh air. They offer free shuttle to and from the airport (around 30-40 mins travel from Tagbilaran airport), food at Paprika (the restaurant at the resort) is exquisite, the whole resort is very unique, it is like an art museum and hacienda rolled into one. The staff are very helpful and kind, too. The rooms are very spacious and you have wifi everywhere you go. Swimming pools are clean but we did visit the beach also. It is around 5 minutes shuttle ride from the resort. Definitely one of the most relaxing places I've stayed in. I will recommend Tarsier Botanika if you need to take a break from the busy streets of the Metro.
