Nice small home of Mohammad Ali. A sign in front. No real information given besides the sign in front. Its preserve location but hopefully they will update to provide some information about Muhammad Ali as a kid growing up there.

This place takes back in time. We can see where Ali came from, we got to see his neighborhood, place of his birth, where he grew up. Got to read about his parents. Awesome experience. It was a reminder that it one tries hard can achieve anything in life.

Pulled up on the home...not much fanfare attached especially for it being the boyhood home of such a world renowned figure. The plaque out front designating the home a national landmark is just about the be all and end all. You are left to interject your own nostalgic thoughts.

We wanted to see what kind of a neighborhood Ali grew up in. We went to the house and took some pics. It was closed up. Its in good shape though. So now we can say that we have seen his house.

Unfortunately, I was not able to see the champ's boyhood home before they closed it down on September 16th. The culprit was lack of profits. There is talk of moving the home to Philadelphia or Las Vegas. Granted, it was not in the best of neighborhoods and lacked parking. Frankly, they were only open on the weekend plus Thursday. This story is covered in an online Louisville Courier-Journal article on September 25, 2017. Very disappointed that they couldn't keep it open.
