We are so glad we made the short drive from out of the city to this truly historic home of the legend Muhammad Ali. We were lucky that the house and museum was open as this is not so every day. We had the short informative tour of what was the family home, by long time friend of Muhammad Ali, Sonny. He was certainly an interesting person and made the tour interesting in the family home which had been restored as close as possible when the family lived there with some original artifacts.

The house is small and very humbling in a quiet neighbourhood. The tour is as long as you want to make it. Well worth visiting if you are in the city of Louisville for all the history associated with the legend that the man Muhammad Ali was.

There is parking outside this historic home and a small admission charge which is worth every $. There is a small area selling souvenirs.

We were so privileged and lucky to meet and talk with Rahman Ali who was there. He was interesting to talk too and we had our picture taken with him.

It was certainly the highlight of our USA Road Trip.

Unfortunately, we could not take the tour, but it was still interesting to see this little house in a charming neighborhood. I had no idea that it was pink!

The boyhood home of Muhammad Ali has been restored and has many original items from the home. Some pieces of furniture are historically correct or very close accoring to our guide. Very friendly people at this stop! I was impressed with the short documentary shown at the home. A very worthwhile stop while you are in Louisville.

This is a relatively new site. Ali's boyhood home fell into disrepair and was only recently restored. It is so interesting and exciting to see the area where he grew up, tour his boyhood home, learn of his devotion to his family and even meet his lifelong friend, Sonny. His brother apparently frequently stops by, but we were not lucky enough to meet him. The house was restored to its former blueprint and some of the Clays' original furniture is displayed. What was the most exciting was to listen to Sonny's stories about the young Cassius Clay and his bravado and to hear Sonny talk about Ali's faith. There is ample street parking in front of the site, the admission price is reasonable, the tour is as long as you want it to be and the film is wonderful. Don't miss this stop!

Very nice and historic moment place . Closed but I still felt the vibe of the neighborhood area , just thinking of the childhood Ali had and others growing up around him. Will be back.
