Cute little pie shop just north of UK campus that has a wonderful selection of homemade pies by the slice or the whole pie. My kids, wife and I each had a diffeeent kind and they were all wonderful. Small lunch menu of paninis and wraps with a daily soup special. Staff and owner were friendly and service was great. Definite find for someone who wants a great slice of pie.

Missy's pies have the best fruit pies , and pecan pies in the south. Parking is limited so come in the morning and mid afternoon.

Having heard that I "just had" to try a Missy's pie...and this place is a staple at the iconic Ramsey's restaurants in Lexington, I ordered a coconut cream pie for my husband's birthday. Now "House O' Pies" in LA has the world's BEST coconut cream pie, with a sugar cookie crust and a cream filling that floats over top and light, airy whipped cream. I was hoping for an approximation of the same. When I picked up the pie, it was sealed and the staff opened it for me...it looked...funny. At home, when we cut into it, there was about 1/2 inch of filling and gobs of a cloying whipped cream. In essence, a whipped cream pie. I called and they replaced it with one that had about an inch of filling and little dots of whipped cream. Different, but not better. I tried a very ordinary chicken salad, and a dried out meatloaf,as well.

The staff is cheerful and kind and fun and respectful and accommodating. It's just the food that is not so cheerful or fun. Granted, we had been snowed in and frozen over for a week, so heaven only knows how many days they might have been closed or short-staffed. But, for the (rather pricey) amount I paid, I just expected to be happy with the products

If you blink you might miss the small storefront. Luckily, you will see it as you pass. Circle around and park on Maxwell, the block BEFORE Woodland. Walk the short distance, cross the street, and there it is...a tiny cottage storefront that promises Hansel and Gretel delights. Maybe I'll try it again...in good weather. And get another type of pie.

I have bought pies here to take to a party. Everybody loves the crust. What you buy one day will be the same outcome in a month. Ramsey's serves slices of Missy's pies.
One funny thing is that there is no Missy; she went missing shortly after the business took off! She must have left behind a trained staff.
This is a pie pick up place not a place to sit and eat.

Had to circle the block to locate store - gps indicated a different location. One "new" poorly trained employee in charge of store. Although she knew the flavors of the pies, and the pies were delicious, her serving techniques needed work. You do not use your bare hands to touch the broken pie slices, or use a counter wiping towel to wipe knife and serving spatula between different flavor slice servings....and most importantly when serving cheesecake you remove the metal spring band then use the circular slicer to cut. The result would have been even nice clean slices intact with bottom crumb crust vs dig it out in several pieces using fingers and leave the crumb crust in pan. Employee was very reluctant to give a refund. Definitely put a damper on the experience.
