Our family took a ride out to the park in July and made use of the swimming beach. The beach itself wasn't that great, as the heat of the summer sun heated the water so it was like bath water rather than refreshing; however, the lifeguards made our visit more than worthwhile, as they were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable.

We love bicycling there in this wonderful paved park. For a quick ride doing all the paved areas you can get 7+ miles and maybe see 4 or 5 people. Benches periodically on pathway give a time to enjoy the quiet nature around you. Also great for walking with the lake at your beginning and end.

This park is great for the walking trails, fishing, playground, picnics. It's located in a beautiful country setting, usually not crowded. Very easy to find and get to.

Such a peaceful environment any time of year. Just gorgeous. You can hear the water flowing as you walk the paths. Wander off the paths into more secluded trails and explore. Visit the lake or beach. Beautiful.

There are miles of both paved and equestrian trails. They wander around the lake and through the woods. Most trails are suitable for walking. There are always fishermen present, both on the shore and on the lake. There is a small swimming beach area. Because it takes a little looking to find, the park is relatively empty. If you like bird watching, streams, deer and solitude, this will be a wonderful place to explore.
