Haven't been here for well over ten years due to having moved area but pleased to have had the opportunity to revisit.

Lovely place only really let down by quite slow service to provide us with a table and get food.

I'll give them the benefit of the doubt but I don't think I've ever had to ask somewhere three times before getting a table!

Thank Waldors

Popped in for a spot of lunch. The setting is quitold worldy with a choice of seating areas. The menu had a good range of cooked and sandwich type meals. We went for the sandwich choice as we had limited time and that proved a good option. Sandwiches were generously filled with a small side salad. All in all a fine place for lunch.

Picked this pub from The Good Pub Guide. We were made most welcome by young staff. Cosy but with plenty of tables. Lovely log fire. Great menu. Service was prompt and friendly.

Attractive large old fashion pub with a cosy ambience on the way to Crowborough, with a welcoming roaring fire, greatly appreciated on a cold but sunny day. Serving a good range of beers, tasty food cooked with soul, good friendly service. Loved the mussels, and the sausages were plump and juicy and vegetables freshly cooked. Busy lunchtime trade. Will be back to try some more dishes.

Good attentive staff, nice ‘local’ atmosphere and large comfortable bar and restaurant. You are not crowded in shoulder to shoulder and they are happy if you bring your dog.
Good choice of meals on the menu and good size portions all served by friendly staff.
Large car park. If in the area, this is a very good place to visit
