Lands in Love lies in the middle of the jungle and is a unique experience : nice rooms, great food, birds all around, great activities center and a special twist : an animal refuge where abandoned dogs and cats find a new home. It is not a luxury resort and it is out of the beaten track but if you are looking for something special - go there !

Definitely not your typical tourist destination...and that's probably good. Gorgeous, out of the way property at 1800 feet elevation. Pleasant temperatures. A bird-lovers paradise. Extensive, interesting, and well-maintained trails. Zip-line on-site, including a Superman ride. Beautiful, clean, stable with gorgeous horses. Had a great trail ride to the river and a water fall. There are a couple hundred rescue dogs there - you can take some out for a walk if you want to. Delicious vegetarian/Israeli food in the restaurant. The place is owned by Israelis, and there are frequent groups from Israel, which adds to the great character of the place. Beautifully maintained grounds. Decent pool (on the cool side) and jacuzzi. The whole place is whimsical, with paintings all over. The rooms are somewhat dated but comfortable. Ours had a mini fridge & coffee maker. Great wi-fi. Foozeball and pool are free in the lobby. Newly re-paved road makes for an easy and beautiful drive from San Ramon. A refreshingly different place!

This hotel is absolutely wonderful, the food is incredible, the rooms are well organised and have a lot of room, the hotel is located in the middle of the jungle but is easy to get there using waze or google maps, any car can reach the hotel with out a problem, they have this wonderful motivation to rescue animals in need, the pool is large and there is a jacuzzi, they also offer tours like horseback riding, canopy, rafting and some other stuff. I personally did the zip lining one and it was AMAZING one of the best experiences of my life.

Delicious food in the restaurant. Ate here twice coming and going from San Jose to Arenal. Even though it's vegetarian/vegan, the meat substitutes they use are *very* convincing. A great variety of different stuff on the menu. Try the "Israeli" or the "Taco".

Can't comment on the rooms as we didn't stay here.

We arrived to the resort after few days already in Costa Rica. It was an easy drive
with our rental car.If you intend to arrive at night pay attention to the sign. We used WAZE g.p.s. Apon our arrivel we had a very worm wellcome from the stuff and in spite of the late arrivel they preparer dinner. The group who runs the resort are unique.Don't exspect to get meat dishes, but breakfast and dinner were perfect.
They also work as Tour Operator, and we uased thier services to orgnize our travel in C.R. . Our 12 days tour in C.R. were arranged and worked perfect by Lands In Love.
