This laid back roadside restaurant offers ample sized portions and food quality. We spent a week in Tybee and everyone agreed it was the best meal we had. After some lesser quality meals we endured at other places in previous days-we all said the same thing - why the HECK didn’t we come here before?
Oysters plump juicy, flounder tasty fresh nice breading. And OH those hush puppies!! With just a taste of Jalapeño, no big chunks.Delicious!
A delightful and quirky open air restaurant, you’ll swear you were transported back to a Grateful Dead concert will all the Staff in tie dyed T-shirts zipping around you. And Gerald himself will be in the mix, as an owner involved in his restaurant.
Gerald’s Pig n Shrimp is Easily identified by the 2 SURFING PIGS (remember I said this after you see the sign) on the left as you approach Tybee Island. It’s close to a collection of roadside artsy shops.
If you are in town and at the beach, GET In your CAR and drive back out of ‘Downtown Tybee’ a couple of miles to Gerald’s. Unlike in town, Parking is easy along the extra road lane, not far to walk from where you park.
Pig out. Gerald will help!
