Owner description: A huge carving of three Confederate heroes, Stonewall Jackson, Robert E. Lee and Jefferson Davis, on the face of the mountain.

Stone Mountain was a nice hike that probably took 30 minutes to reach the top. Some spots are a little steep but there was a railing to help. The hike would be very slippery if wet so use caution. The carving can be seen from the park at the bottom and is incredible due to its detail.

Stay on the right side of the skylift going up for a really great view. Stay for the laser show to enjoy it the most.

With all the destruction of Southern heritage that has been taking place, we wanted to pay our respects to the hero's on the mountain. I was so excited to see the carving in person and was amazed at the detail. I pray that the state of Georgia will not now down to the political correctness movement and that this true work of art will remain a tribute to my Southern roots.

The history behind this monument is so interesting. Didn't know how many years it took to complete this carving. So glad we came here to view it! The view at the top of the mountain was just awesome!

Great mountain to hike with your family! Not difficult, easy walking trails to guide you. We also got on the train and toured around the mountain.
