Breathtaking views atop of the falls which can be reached by stairs or driven up by car. We decided to climb the stairs to the top and were well-rewarded with a spectacular view of mountains, valleys, and lush foliage. Absolute beauty before and beyond the distance that our very own eyes could possibly consume. Well worth the drive and just the journey to the Amicalola Falls is an added pleasure, highly recommended.

We went not knowing what to expect. What an amazing waterfall and hike up the stairs if you dare! The trail takes you to the Appalachian Trail where we hiked the entire width in one day. The lodge at the top of the falls was impressive and seems like a fantastic place to stay. What a great way to spend some time in the woods!

Great hike but it is strenuous so wear appropriate foot gear if you are going up the unmarked trail like we did. We then came down the various levels of steps to the reflection pool. Once you do get to the falls they are spectacular.

Visited this place with my cousin. It was a nice but strenuous hike. Dawsonville looked to be a neat and clean city with fresh air. The drive is also scenic.

The view from the lodge is breathtaking, especially if you walk up to it. The lodge is a little dated but woodsy, with some interesting art on the walls all making you feel like you are outside while being inside. All the staff were very helpful and friendly all of the food offerings were a buffet but you can order parts or all of that. They now have full bar offerings but that is a work in progress, they don't really have the space for it as yet. We were on the 1st floor which is below the ground level where you enter the lodge. These rooms have a small patio in back with sliding doors. The 2 queen rooms were adequate but a bit small.
