Enjoyable dining experience right off of I-75. Indoor and outdoor seating options. Server was friendly. Fried pickles and fried green tomatoes were a highlight for us. Make sure you put your pin on the map while you are there. Definitely worth a stop!

We stopped at Smoakies Bar-B-Que on our way home from Florida to Indiana. All I can say is that the food was amazing. I had the pork sandwich with the sweet BBQ sauce and slaw on top. It was delicious. Definitely try the onion rings and the fried green tomatoes were amazing. We will definitely be stopping here again on our future trips.

Randomly stopped here while driving by on the highway and was extremely pleased. The service could not have been better, the BBQ was great and had some great sauces. You cannot choose poorly as everything we tried was delicious. Don’t be worried about a little wait as there is a quick change over. I highly recommend the stop.

Smoakies was much harder to find than it should have been. The Garmin wanted to send us all over the place & google wasn't much better. Fortunately we saw the pig in the air, which I had seen in pictures on Trip Advisor, so we just headed for the pig! Smoakies is a local hang out for sure, it seemed we were the only ones that didn't know everyone else in the place. Steve (his mom owns the place) was awesome. He obviously recognized he had a couple of northerners in the place. He was very helpful and we had a really enjoyable meal and a wonderful desert. The place is simple, the food good and the service wonderful. The waffle fries were good, the chicken was good, the brisket a little dry, but with enough BBQ sauce pretty good, the beans were really good, but the two slices of white bread were a mystery.

In researching places to visit while on Rt. 75 between TN and FL, this restaurant was mentioned. Only yards from the highway at exit 102. Very good brisket and fried green tomatoes. Pulled pork was overly chopped. Too bad it wasn't open when we passed by on our return trip.
