We enjoy “free pie Wednesday” and ventured over to this Village Inn. It is cleaner than most others we’ve been in. The roast beef ( pot roast) was tasty and the pie was yummy as always! Go early for the chicken pot pie because it always runs out! Very popular dish! We loved our time with Mitchell, our server, who was upbeat, glad to serve, and very helpful!
This place is crowded on Wednesday’s and worth the trip. It’s noisy and full of activity but a pleasant casual choice. We’re going again!
My only issue is that too many of the booths are right outside entrances to the kitchen and that is very loud! The manager announces when patrons are seated in a servers section by YELLING to them from the dining room into the kitchen!! So stay away from the kitchen doors if you can! It was outrageous yes, but bordered on comical. That was the only critique. Well, that and I suggest you avoid the fried fish. It was very greasy and this is not the place for fish. Stick with comfort foods and I also recommend the Pattie Melt! It’s very good and so many places don’t make them anymore for some reason!
Overall, this is a good place for a casual and cheap dinner or lunch. And you can’t beat FREE PIE!!

Been about 6 years since our last visit to a Village Inn. It was a pie Wednesday just as it was today. Arrived at the restaurant and immediately greeted by Christina. Requested a table for two. As the place was full we knew a short wait was in order. Cutting to the chase, a table was finally coming open. A manager (Bridgette) and new hostess(Red-haired,Ann?) were taking Christina’s spot. Christina explained to both of them the table would belong to us as we were next in line after our 30+ minute wait. Next thing we know two others are being escorted to our table. I immediately notified the two new hosts that they had given away our table. They were totally oblivious to what they had done twenty seconds after being told the open table was for us. We were then told there was a table in the back. Not just one, but 8 or so, half with dirty dishes. So, we got a clean table in an overflow area all by ourselves. What a way to start our return to the Village Inn. Here’s where the only good part took place. Our server Lisa took the time to make sure our order included things we wanted to eat. By that I mean making suggestions to substitute one item for others. Everything came quickly and was quite tasty. At the end of lunch the manager came to our table with a paper bag to put our pie in. This gave us another opportunity to discuss the situation out front. Her explanation was she didn’t know what happened out there...even though she was standing face to face with the hostess who gave her the wait list update....what?? Went to pay bill and Redhead (Ann?) proceeds to call me honey. I told her I wasn’t her honey and why. She just stared with a blank look on her face. About that time the manager suggested maybe taking a little something off the bill. I told her I didn’t want a discount as the food wasn’t the issue. It was them. So, a decent lunch spoiled by a couple inept front of house personnel.

The prices are reasonable, portions are large, and the food is delicious. Even though they didn't seem overly staffed with servers, the food came out quickly and was hot. They have quite an assortment of pies for dessert. They also serve breakfast all day, in fact, half of the menu is dedicated to breakfast items. Recommended for all.

Great food and we dined on the day when you get a free slice of pie for dessert. Our waitress (Rosie) was very nice and patient. We got cheeseburger special with fries which was excellent. Comfortable dining experience.
