It’s not my kind of place because I don’t like standing in line to order or walking the line to select the food. But if you want healthy food, fresh, organic, often locally grown and you don’t mind the line and the crowd and tables close together then you’ll love this place. Some outdoor seating available. Large portions.
I love field of greens. I have never ordered something I didn’t like, and I just like having a healthier option when eating out. I love their lil açaí bowls, as traditional ones are usually really big. Their veggie wrap is very good as well! Really pretty place and in a fun area!
This was the first time that I had visited this restaurant. We went for lunch and really loved it. They have a very wide variety of sandwiches, lots of gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian, offerings as well as regular fare. You order at the counter, and the staff are happy to answer your questions. It is very clean, and has a happy vibe. Fun art everywhere. Great healthy drinks.
Generally I avoid places where you've got to go to the counter (sometimes wait in a long line) and place your order, then get a number and wait for your food to be delivered or you're called to come and get it. This explains why I'd not visited Field of Greens until this past week. A friend set up a meeting and announced that it would be at FOG -- so I went along.
Yep, there was a long line but fortunately one of my friends was about 3 people from the cash register and he called me up to join him so the wait wasn't all that long. But the menu is big and it takes some time to read it and digest it. I figured out that I wanted a salad with tuna (not much of a challenge) and discovered that I could select the ingredients for the salad -- didn't mind doing that even though I had to wait for someone who was free to ask what I wanted and get it into the bowl. I don't remember the exact number of choices that I got, but it was a lot! Good sized salad and then they mixed the tuna in for me and chopped the ingredients.
Meanwhile, my friends were seated at the table where they had a number. So I walked to the table with my salad and had to wait another 10 minutes until their food was served -- they had salads, too, so I'm not quite sure why they had to wait.
Food was very good!
Seating is okay but it's typical of one of those places where you stand in line, get to the counter, order your food, go find a seat . . . in other words, ho hum. Nothing appealing about it but it gets the job done.
And this place gets busy!
I'll definitely go back but it's just not going to be one of my favorite places in West Palm Beach.
