I'm going to give a fully honest review here because I've been going to this location for over 5 years.
No, the restaurant itself isn't all that pleasant on the eyes. It's pretty rundown inside and out, but the food on most nights, is delicious and consistent. I crave the food here also, which makes me wonder if it contains MSG, not trying to knock this place, but I eat here regularly because I want it so often. I don't live as close as I used to, but anytime I'm in that area, I have to make a visit.
My favorite thing to order is usually the #23 combo. A burrito, chile relleno, rice and beans. I have been here when they are having an off night and it's not quite the same, but it happens. Doesn't prevent me from returning. They are one of the few Mexican restaurants that actually stuffs their rellenos with meat. I feel like that has been a rarity in many mexican restaurants down here in FL. Either they stuff it with beef or just cheese. No complaints on a deep fried pepper stuffed with cheese and fried, but I really love it when they can be stuffed with chicken. Personal preference. :)
I have tried many things on the menu. The Quesadilla delujo is an appetizer I often make into a meal. The fajitas are fajitas. Their enchiladas and their tacos hit the spot, but I prefer a wet burrito. Their red sauce is truly a gamechanger.
Don't visit without getting a cheese dip. You will regret it, who passes up on melted cheese? This place goes highly recommended by me.
