This was my 2nd experience at Stonewood and it will be my last. It is advertised as a fresh farm to table restaurant but, during both dining visits, the food texture and taste felt that it was previously frozen and then reheated in a microwave. The prices are a high for the mediocre quality. We have tried 4 dishes: Beef & Reef Scampi, portion very small and tasteless. Blackened Chicken Bowtie pasta, lots of pasta, not enough chicken or asparagus. During our last visit, which my dining mate warned me that it wasn't very good the 1st time but, I thought I would give it another try, it was 100% disappointing. The Blue Cheese Chips appetizer were over cooked and we had to look for the blue cheese. My dining mate ordered the Lobster Roll which was less than 6 inches long. Very small portion for a dinner meal. The garnish was green leaf lettuce which he added to his sandwich. Unfortunately, the lettuce was limp :( My choice was the Shrimp Platter. Ugh! What a mistake. I requested my side dish be the mashed potatoes vs french fries. My plate arrived with french fries :( It was so unappealing and poorly presented, kinda like they just dumped it on the plate. I tried 1 shrimp, gulp, it was soggy. The 2nd shrimp, also very soggy, not battered and fried. French fries....cold! Manager did take my meal off the check and offered us a free dessert, which we declined. Not sure why this restaurant is so popular with the locals unless they consider it an upgrade to Denny's. The food was so unappealing, I didn't even take any photos.
