I love this theatre. It is small but has great acoustics and a wonderful stage. The performances there always showcase the best of Tallahassee's talent. I would go see any show here!!

Great variety of entertainment and talent. J K Simmons was interviewed here and it was the perfect venue. A recent renovation provided easy flow for all.

One of the best community theatres I have been too. They have recently completed a large number of renovations and it looks great. Show was incredible quality (EVITA) rivaling that of a NYC show. They let you take your drinks in during the show which is great. Highly recommend!

I made my first visit to Theatre Tallahassee to see The Addams Family Musical, and frankly was only doing so to get a look at the musical itself, being a Charles Addams fan from way back. But I got caught up in the sense of fun and enjoyment that radiated from the stage, and laughed time and again at the AF references, the inserted topical/local humor, moments of zaniness (Fester's love song to the moon), and the skill of the cast members in pulling off well-timed gags. They all seemed to be really enjoying themselves and the material and it was infectious.

The musical numbers are brief and fun as befits the tongue-in-cheek homage to the various incarnations of the AF; the pacing is perfect and Gomez, Morticia, and Fester keep the production anchored with great characterizations. Wednesday is exactly what you'd imagine she'd grow up to be; Pugsley's a sweet thug who sings dark thoughts in an angelic voice. Grandma and Alice aced the AF dynamic of pulling a sudden weird turn out of normalcy.

All the nuts-and-bolts (ticketing, parking) went smoothly. I will say that this is one theater where you don't want to be in the front row unless you like looking up the cast's noses. The production stood up well to the extremely close scrutiny, but I think it's a better experience from two or three or four rows back.
