I should say at the outset that, as a frequent diner here, it seems to me that nearly half of the restaurant's sales come from orders to go. At dinner there is a steady parade of people picking up brown bags filled with shrimp mac and cheese and many other dishes.
The menu at Whisk is not particularly large, but there are some great options for informal dining as well as a surprising large list of beer and wine for on-premise consumption (and a bartender well-versed in the selection). I love Whisk's fried green tomatoes and meaty bacon-wrapped grilled dates. The roast chicken is very good, as is the spicy seared skirt steak. Much of the menu is given over to large sandwiches, among which the chicken adobo and the tuna melt stand out.
