Description: AUG 25, 26 & 27, 2018...we will be closed for renovations!!! Big Water Fish Market opened its doors on 11/11/11 at 11am with owner Scott Dolan at the helm. We are near the south bridge on Siesta Key in the Crescent Beach Shopping Center next to Siesta Spirits liquor store. We are a retail fish market that specializes in fresh, wild, Florida seafood and we also offer a simple but delicious casual dining menu. We offer our customers the freshest fish, seafood, and produce available in a clean boutique style market. In addition, we carry a variety of specialty spices, sauces, and products to compliment your seafood. If you ever want something that we don't have in stock, just let us know and we will make some calls. In most cases we can get it to you the next day. Whether you live here or you're visiting beautiful Siesta Key, please visit the Big Water Fish Market for all your FRESH seafood needs!

Loved this little restaurant. Great decorations, freshly-caught seafood, and an extremely good reputation among the locals.

We were visiting for Siesta Key for the week and stayed nearby. A good friend recommended BWFM, and we had the opportunity to eat there 3-4 times during the week. The food was outstanding each and every time we went in. We sampled many menu items - one of the best was the steamer seafood plate. They do not take reservations and there is often a line to get in but it is worth the wait. Not inexpensive but in our opinion worth the money and provided good value... We will be back.

We were torn between eating here and the places in the village because of the outside. This place is tucked away in a strip mall area and we wanted the more beachy atmosphere on vaca but glad we went with the rating choice...it’s spot on! Yum Yum Yum...hush puppies, fish stew, tuna poke, snow crab legs....everything was fresh and tasty! Loved the eclectic decorq. Our waitress was wonderful don’t listen to the negative comments we had great service. They even gave us free fresh mangos as we left! If you want a seat right away come early for dinner 5ish otherwise you’ll have to wait but it’s worth it!

It's tucked in a strip mall and a bit unassuming from the looks. It has a small dining area with a very casual atmosphere. We went early (5p) and got right in but there were people waiting outside by the time we left. Our table had the lobster roll, steamed clams, and fish tacos and everything was good. The lobster roll was not smothered in mayo to my surprise! The 13 yr old inhaled the fish tacos. If you get the clams do yourself a favor and order a side of bread. Do not let that clam broth go to waste! I paid for all of that gluten later but it was worth it. A lot of people came in to pick up fish to cook at home as it is a legit fish market, not just a business slogan. We checked out the fresh wares in the case and it looked to be reasonably priced. We will definitely come back. I will put the cost of the meal at mid range compared to other similar casual restaurants we visited on the trip.
