Description: BRIO (meaning "lively" or "full of life") is a "polished casual" restaurant serving authentic, northern Italian cuisine. The subtitle, "Tuscan Grille" is descriptive for a menu that features oven-roasted steaks, chops, and seafood; similar to what one would find in an authentic ristorante in Tuscany.

Brio was within walking distance of the Hampton Inn we stayed in. The service was very good and the food and drinks were quite tasty.

My wife and I just visited Breo Tuscan Grill in Plantation. It was hard to give them more than three stars. The first thing that got me upset was they tried to seat us next to the kitchen door when they had plenty of better tables available. I tried educating the hostess about seating people but she did not seem to care. She said I have a seating chart I am suppose to follow. I said try seating the owner or manager at that table and see what happens. That's what you get when you have 18 year olds working without any training. Once we were seated, our waiter was wonderful. You get nervous when a server takes your order without writing it down, but in this case, everything came out perfect. Let's move on to the food. The menu has changed and everything is ala cart. This drives the prices up quite a bit. Our two Entrees' and two drinks were $87 without the tip. Keep in mind this is a chain, not a real Italian restaurant. The food unfortunately was disappointing. All your classics are on the menu but they seem to think taking every dish to the next level makes thing better. The presentations were nice, but the food did not deliver anything near what you were expecting. Sometimes you just can't make a traditional dish better. To some it up this place is very expensive for a chain restaurant and you will never get real Italian food here. There are better options around that are reasonable. For $100, you can go to a real Italian restaurant and get real Italian food.

After a long week of midterm exams it was time to celebrate a dinner out w Dad and daughter. We had been to Brio several times so I expected a solid experience. What we got was average service at best and slightly above average food. To make matters worse we asked for 1st available seating but the group of greeters at the front desk area misunderstood somehow (I was crystal clear) and thought we requested outside only. After 25 minutes of waiting I walked inside and noticed at least 6 inside tables available. Confusion at best but they need qualified upfront personnel. Maybe increase the non servers wages. Will go to a local Italian place in Plantation next time. Not worth the hassle and definitely not the money for their food.
Yes disappointed under the circumstances.

This restaurant was located close to our hotel and was recommended by the hotel staff. We are glad we ate here.
This is part of an Italian chain of restaurants. This is a very popular restaurant and was quite busy the night we were there. We - there were 2 couples - didn't have a reservation but were still seated in about 15 minutes of arriving.
The wait staff were great and very attentive to our needs. The food was excellent and the portions were more than could be consumed.
We would definitely eat here again if in the area.
