Description: Cabbage Key is a 100 acre island located 5 miles off of Pine Island, FL in the Pine Island Sound. The Inn, built in the 1930's by the family of Mary Roberts Rinehart, now houses our famous Restaurant & Dollar Bill Bar and 6 guest rooms. The rooms in the Inn are all different with old Florida charm - they do not have TVs, phones, or refrigerators. We have 8 cottages on the island, ranging from a 1 bedroom/1 bath cottage to 3 bedroom/3 bath waterfront units. All cottages have refrigerators, TV (no cable) & coffee makers, some units have full kitchens. Restaurant open 7 days a week & serves breakfast, lunch & dinner. Reservations accepted for dinner only. Restaurant hours are listed under "Dining" section on our website, as well as our full menus for each meal. If you want to relax on a beach...we do not have one here. But, Cayo Costa is a close kayak or boat ride away. This is a great retreat to discover "Old Florida", grab a burger for lunch, relax with a book, & watch the boats go by.

Wife and I just kicked of our anniversary stay-cation, Sam and Josh were great host behind the bar and took care of everything including our check-in. The Cheeseburger in Paradise definitely hit the spot, but the Peel n Eat Shrimp were fantastic!
Huge thanks to the entire staff!

We took our boat to Cabbage Key for lunch two weekends ago. While it was very crowded we enjoyed drinks being offered by the outside bar while we waited. We've been going here a long time and two things stood out--the quality of the food has gotten better every year. The burgers are incredible, great size, juicy and cooked to order. The smoked fish spread is fresh and delicious. Finally our server Katie S was as nice and attentive as she could be. Was proud to take our guests who had never been and appreciate this place, which could easily rest on its laurels, continues to get better with age.

My wife, our 3.5 year old son and I were looking for a quick, quiet, peaceful getaway with beautiful views. We found exactly that. The island is absolutely beautiful and the cottages are perfect. We had our own private doc at our cottage (Cabbage Patch) where we could see dolphins swimming within 30 feet of us. The entire staff was great, especially (but not limited to) the restaurant staff. During our stay, Andrew and Brandi were the one's serving the food and drinks. They were both so great. Our son tends to be a little shy but he opened right up around them. They were so great with him. He kept asking us to go back to the restaurant. The food is top notch and they really know how to make a drink. You can tell they really love what they do. Not only do they enjoy taking care of their customers but they appear to have a genuine love for the island and everything that comes with it. That positive attitude really resonates. We will 1000% be back and it will become an annual thing.

Such a warm welcome received as we jumped off the boat - first by Taylor who greeted and gave us local info to Scott who made us feel at home- making sure we had an awesome table with a great view and kept checking up on us and providing local folklore. Edith our sever was the star - she even made an origami for our grandkids. The food was excellent service was the best! We will be back! A very special place.
