Our first visit to this perfectly located very busy and clearly trendy "steak" restaurant was very enjoyable indeed. Saturday night was naturally very busy but we were seated almost immediately and the service overall was excellent throughout.

A pretty good place for people watching the ambience was good and the noise level perfectly fine.

Oysters and a shrimp cocktail for starters might not be adventurous but they were both good. For main courses the salmon with vegetables was well presented, well cooked and very tasty. The surprise star meal was the uncommonly seen Beef Wellington - the filet was cooked perfectly and the pasty perfect.

For desert, the molten chocolate was beautifully presented and well cooked. The bead pudding was amazing - the whiskey ice cream was quite special. Mind you it was quite a struggle to finish both.

We will definitely be back to this place - I would recommend without hesitation for that special night out on the town.

Thank John M

The steaks here are cooked well. I enjoy the filet mignon and always add oscar. Kres has a great selection of wines, and premium cocktails. The service can be hit or miss. Sometimes you get excellent service, other times you have to ask for little things, like bread plates, or water. Dress is usually business casual to dressy, but on Orlando Magic game nights, you'll see people in tshirts. Kres accommodates everyone. Definitely order off the dessert menu. They have great choices. We usually go for the bread pudding...and don't forget to have some Port. They have great selections of those too.

We have not been to a steak house in many years because the quantities and prices tend to be very high. We learned from our excellent waiter Paul that dividing entrees and sides is the way to go. We ordered what turned out to be an amazing NY strip 16 ounce and divided it between us and had plenty. Cooked to perfection. Enjoyed an excellent baked potato and crispy brussels. Since the price was right on the food we decided to go with a very nice bottle of Merlot from Australia. Ended up with excellent food and wine for under $200 with tip. Steak houses may be on our list again.
