The hotel was beautiful. Breakfast was delicious with cooked to order omelets and the service outstanding. The front desk was less than accommodating. There is no microwave in the rooms and apparently none on property for one time use. This made traveling with my one year old granddaughter somewhat difficult.

my family was very comfortable and well attended. the location to the theme park was minutes away, we could see it from our room. we will return and stay in this hotel. The rooms were very clean and spacious .

My daughter and I stayed at this hotel last night and it is wonderful! The staff is extremely friendly. Starting with our valet, Shalom, and check in person, customer service was great! My daughter and I were driving 2 different cars and when I told Shalom she would be coming and I wanted her to valet too he offered to look for her arrival. Sure enough he did. The walk from hotel to Universal is only about 10 minutes. It is a pretty walk and totally doable. Last night we walked over to see Blue Man group. We have stayed at universal hotels on property. This walk took no longer than how long you have to wait for a boat or walk from their hotels. After Citywalk we took a taxi back and it was only $6, not incl. tip. When we got back I called to have breakfast delivered today at 8am. The woman who took my order said she would be working this am and make sure it arrived on time. Sure enough at 8 am a very pleasant man delivered it. We took our luggage down to bell hop to hold while we were at park. I wish I could remember the name of the man who helped us there. Again he was a stellar employee. When we came back at 4 to get our luggage and cArs to leave Shalom was working again and made sure we got everything in a timely manner. While we were waiting for our car he even checked with us again to make sure our departure was going smoothly. I recently visited a hotel that didn’t do anything I was promised. So thank you! Your staff was excellent, the room was nice and you made our travel so easy.

Room Tip: Our room with a view of universal was nice.

We got what I thought was a great deal for this well rated hotel. We usually book condo/ apt type suites. This was a first the check in was very quick with no issue. We did have to pay overnight parking every night which was not disclosed during reservation. This was a family trip with kids there was only a small fridge with no microwave. The room was right next to elevator so noise and light from the elevator was annoying. The room was 902 and with a view of Major blvd. Universal was very close and the shuttle service and late afternoon driver Kevin was awesome. Please remember to get shuttle ticket a day in advance early in the morning for early pick up. If you plan on eating out every meal and don’t have to park overnight. This is perfect for you.

My family lives in SW Florida where Hurricane Irma made landfall in Fall 2017. Afraid and under unbelievable stress, we packed up all our belongings that could fit in our car, along with our medium-sized dog and his bed, and headed up to this hotel for safety. While we were making all the last minute arrangements, a concierge from the hotel checked in with me regularly, offering assurances and answering questions. When we arrived, I was instantly amazed by the efficiency of the operations and the professionalism and empathy of the entire staff. They had special processes in place for handling the large volume of guests displaced from their homes. I am a process improvement professional, and the details evident from their planning were beyond impressive. What is most important though is that every single employee without exception was warm, caring, concerned, and ready to serve. They were working shifts around the clock and talking so much that their voices grew hoarse. Regular housekeeping was suspended and they had special meal buffets in place to deal with the abnormal operating situation, but staff constantly checked on our individual needs and were ready to accommodate everything we asked of them. I will never forget the kindnesses demonstrated by this hotel along with their efficiency and professionalism. The these employees genuinely care about their guests with all their hearts. I hope that Doubletree employees read this and know how grateful my entire family is for all of them and their special efforts and flawless operations.

The hotel itself is beautiful and has many amenities that would make a vacation there wonderful, from the pretty swimming pools with lush landscaping to the restaurants and outside bars. It is in a location perfect for visiting the nearby theme parks.

Room Tip: We stayed in the main tower and would stay there again. There are also outer wings with convenient parking and direct access to rooms.
