Description: It doesn't matter where you're from. When you're here, you're home. That's the kind of warm Southern welcome Chef Art Smith has created in his newest restaurant, HOMECOMIN'. It's a great place to duck in from the sun and sip some sweet Southern iced tea or maybe some barrel-aged moonshine. Or gather with friends and enjoy dishes like Chef Art's succulent Fried Chicken, spicy Shrimp and Grits and a slice of his world famous Hummingbird Cake. We are located right in the heart of Disney Springs®!

We dined here recently after a long day planning an event. Though we had reservations we still had to wait a bit but it was well worth it. Being that a member of our dining party had a food allergy, the head waiter came over to our table and discussed our options all the while in contact with the chef. They wanted to make sure we had a great dining experience and we really felt appreciated. A very nice selection of food and beverage. Service was prompt and courteous and the food was delicious. A new favorite place to dine when we return.

All the restaurants we tried were great but this one is the one we'd go back to again and again! The fried green tomato appetizer is a substantial take on this southern tradition (be aware ham is involved). We also split the fried chicken platter (all white meat option) and had more than enough food. Unfortunately we couldn't manage dessert but the Shine Cake sounded amazing. And for the adults homemade Moonshine cocktails are a must try!

Everything about our meal was awesome.. I had the fried chicken sandwich, wife had fried chicken and daughter had chicken strips I believe.

The food here was great. I had a moonshine sampler deal too and it was quite good as long as you are aware how strong shines are.

At Chef Art Smith’s Homecoming Florida Kitchen, that’s the truth. Our dinner in January 2018 was actually our second time visiting this wonderful place and it did not disappoint. If you are starting with cocktails, try the Sweet Tea Shine. It’s the perfect blend of..well everything! (Also, I read somewhere that if you’re into lemon and don’t mind more shine, order it with an extra shot of their Lemon Moonshine. Then definitely eat something!) The sangria went down nice and easy as well. For Starters, try the Bunch of Puppies or the thigh high chicken biscuits! Now, I know what you’re thinking - you’re planning to have Art’s Famous Fried Chicken for dinner and you’re thinking that you don’t need fried chicken twice. Sorry, but Wrong. You need these biscuits in your life. No more discussion. As for dinner, the chopped pork is very good and the shrimp and grits are a plate of seasoned, melted deliciousness. But that fried chicken is where it’s at. Get it with donuts for a savory/sweet taste or famous fried with mashed potatoes so smooth that they will make you want to lick the cast iron serving dish. We never quite get to dessert, but they look great. Visitors, put this restaurant into your travel plans. Locals, what are you waiting for? Show up at 11 am and then try to walk it off around Disney Springs the rest of the afternoon! We can’t wait to go again and try some of their new menu items - that Tito’s Florida Crush is next!
