We stayed in the Bayside Villas.
Pros: Our apartment was spacious and had a lovely view. The island is beautiful, pools are very nice and the beaches are very clean and have nice chairs and umbrellas. They have a kids camp where you can drop your children off for some of the day and get an actual break during your vacation.

Cons: Linens were cheap and scratchy and our housing was far from all the amenities. Plan to take at least 20 minutes to get to the main pools and restaurants using the trolley. Pay attention to wear you book and look at the resort map to make sure you are closer to the pool complex and restaurants.

Make sure you reserve everything ahead of time. We wanted a golf cart to get to the pools, beaches and restaurants quickly and our kids like riding in them. They said they were booked out for the next two weeks. Also, boats, jet skis, kayaks etc were also booked. So we were limited in our choices for activities. Fortunately I had reserved the kids camp three weeks in advance so we did have that. The sea school also needs to be reserved well in advance.

Room Tip: Look at the resort map and make sure you are close to main pool complex and restaurants.

We come down every year. Two harbors, many pools, gated resort so you don't get people just driving through, trolley goes up and down resort, you can rent golf carts, tennis courts. Golf course, boats to rent, fishing captains to take you out fishing, fun shops, dolphin and manatee sightings. Great place to have fun for all! Kids club. We usually rent a unit with full kitchen, community grills if you want to grill. Beautiful beaches. Husband likes to fish from the shore at the point. Fabulous Easter brunch! Great family memories can be made here!

My family and I have been coming to South Seas for years. The location is wonderful and the people/service are great. However, the accommodations are at best only fair. For the most part the accommodations don't measure up to the price you are paying. There are many that need updating and it's a challenge to get into ones that are decent or better yet the rates are equal.

Great atmosphere pleasant and professional wait staff and bartenders. Food excellent pricing very reasonable. Drinks where made with perfection. A place that is a must to stop in for a meal/drink either in dining room/bar or outside. They have entertainment outside which makes a relaxing end to your day.

What an amazing way to bring in a new decade. My family of 4 stayed in Beach Villas. It was perfect for our family with 2 older children, 16 and 20. Very spacious villa with a huge kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a nice screened in patio to watch the sunsets. I loved the easy to walking to the beach, where chairs and towels awaited for us. Very helpful staff provided us with chairs, umbrellas and towels during our entire stay. The pool was so refreshing after spending time in the sand. Our Villa was very convenient for walking to Starbucks, the Provisions Market (that had awesome sandwiches), Doc Ford's and even the Bubble Room. We also enjoyed a day playing tennis on the courts near our Villa. It could not have been any better. I was very surprised when Amanda sent me balloons and wine to help me celebrate the big 50. So glad we spent this time at South Seas. Can't wait to return.
