We love Donna’s! Great atmosphere for sitting and enjoying your morning coffee, catching up with Donna or enjoying sitting outside eating ice cream with your pooch. Donna’s offers delicious coffee, breakfast sandwiches and yummy baked goods. Open all day and some evenings. Enjoy sweet ice cream on an evening walk down Canal street.

When you walk into Donna's Canal Creamery, you immediately feel as if you have gone back in time. This is an old fashioned ice cream shop.

The ice cream is hand made and noting you can get at a grocery store compares. The quality of the product is apparent as soon as you take the first spoonful.

My recommendation is to skip the chains and take the family to Donna's Canal Creamery. You won't be sorry.

On a recent trip to the Arts District in New Smyrna, needing a caffeine fix, I stopped in here. What a nice place! Coffee shop on one side, ice cream on the other. I sat with my iced brew for a few minutes to enjoy in the air conditioning on this extremely humid day. Nice stop if you're shopping the area!

We came across this place and decided to stop for coffee and a desert. Service was very good and we found the coffee, an americano and a cappuccino very good. We were back at the beach the next day and decided to stop again on our way home as we had really enjoyed the coffee. The lady serving us was different and we had to repeat our order three times; one medium cappuccino, one small americano and one small cappuccino. I noticed the coffees came quickly and wondered how they had done them so quickly. When we drank them we understood. The medium cappuccino was good, the small americano was weak and the smaller cappuccino was tasteless. We should have watched the coffee being made, but it tasted like one double shot was extended to three cups of coffee without changing the coffee. It was too late to bring the coffee back. Too bad as the first time made us go back and the second time will ensure that we never go back. Nice decor.

After eating at Jason's we headed out down the Main Street and noticed several other dining establishments. Not being disappointed with Jason's we made note that next time we can try several other places.

So the thought then turned to where is something sweet? At that moment a young lady was walking toward us with a pink cup and we assumed it HAD to be ice cream. She directed us a little further down the road.

This is a cute local shop that severs a little bit of everything. While we were there the biggest seller was their coffee selections all-la Starbucks. So I had time to look around and see several different things for sale (locally made).

They had a good selection of ice cream choices and several ways to serve it like a sugar cone.

This is another local establishment , this is not a part of a chain of ice cream parlors, and I suggest going here anytime you are in town.

Support your local vendors. Keep Main Street alive!
