Formerly Red Ginger and Now and Zen this new version of Asian is terrific. Beautiful presentations, superb sashimi, sushi, and nori and wonderful robata cooked meats and tempura are all part of a complete menu that will please almost everyone.

Sakura 736 calls their cuisine Nikkei, which is Japanese Peruvian. They have parking, a good staff. The ambiance that stood out for me was the seaurchin sculptures behind the sushi bar and the rustic stone walls. For lunch Ceviche with salmon..

When Red Ginger left the South of Fifth neighborhood, I was bummed. Now, luckily, we have Sakura 736. My husband and I went the other night to check out their Happy Hour and were very, very pleased. We had a variety of dishes: bao bun (with fish) - two delicious buns filled with a large chunk of lightly battered fish, a kind of frito-misto Japan-style: tempura fried octopus, calamari, and fish, roasted brussel sprouts, shishito peppers (regular menu), spicy tuna roll, and ceviche. All portions were substantial and the prices were amazing. The dinner menu also has many wonderful options and the prices seem very reasonable. We'll go back soon for dinner. A wonderful addition to the neighborhood!

I went with my family to this newly opened restaurant as I live 1 block away, they had Happy Hour and I never ate this quality and amount of food, drinks and wine this cheap even , not even in Thailand. The a<tomusphere is awaesome as is the quality and variation of food. This start up happy hour meny can last for long because you pay half of what ingredience costs. enough about the price , that was crazy, the meny is a mix of Peruvian and Japanese and they have a Master Japanese sushi Chef, Ambience extreemly nice and a real cocktail bar with superb cocktails. You do not want to miss this one, go while you still can get a table without reserving a week before :) And No I am not the owner look at m y history ;)
