We always stay in the cabana rooms. adult only is a big plus. excellent pool and court yard. Close to everything fun in South Beach. Good food is all around, especially Italian on Lincoln and Washington. Beach is right out the door and the board walk. Walgreens less than a block has everything from liquor to fresh daily spring rolls and sushi rolls that you can take back to your room all is well priced.More

Christian was by far the most helpful employee we encountered at National Hotel. Got us set up with chairs/towels at the beach in a prime location! He was the best.
Hotel was nice overall. Definitely a little outdated and elevators are sketchy but overall worth the money.

Nice hotel and great location. The service at the beach from Christian was great. Had us all set up with chairs towels and umbrella quickly and super friendly. Hotel only had one working elevator which was a bit of a pain.

The hotel is in a great location. However we were on the 11th floor and the elevator was awful. Very small and slow and only one was working. The pool temperature was like a hot tub and the lap pool was freezing.

Hotel is nice - room was very nice - pool area is nice. Service was not great. Often could not get service at the pool or beach. Very pricey. For the money - the service should be on point. The food was good. The inside the hotel bar bartenders are friendly.

Stayed for 1 week. First time in Miami Beach. Chose National because it seemed to have the best price for a balcony room with an ocean view (partial), it was adults-only (one of the few), and it was right on the beach. Also liked the rate that included breakfast. We were pleased with the hotel and would probably stay there again. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed in balcony room along the pool. Those rooms are closest to the beach. We requested a top (4th floor) room, and they gave that to us. It's hard to see the beach, but you can. View of pool area is nice and peaceful. Very comfortable lounge chairs with umbrellas by the pool. Never had a problem with availability. Location is great. Walking distance to Ocean Dr and Lincoln Rd. Never needed a car all week.
