I booked a Gilt City with a friend for a 3 hr cooking class on a saturday. It was great! We started with a glass of wine and checking in. Then we learned to make pasta and tiramisu. We had fun with rolling out the pasta and literally stretching it out across the room. Igor is the chef and he's great. Legit Italian and does not mess around, he's serious about cooking and if you are just there to drink and not pay attention then don't bother. We ended with a nice pasta meal outside on the patio and another glass of wine. It was a hot day so dress light if its summer. I can't wait to go back and try out the restaurant for dinner. The menu looks great.

Lunch Meeting at Ferraro's is one of the best experience I ever had.

Igor Ferraro's chef/owner , now personal friend as well distinguished himself from the rest preparing Italian and International dishes always perfectly balanced and with an extraordinary flavor.

Today I skip the menus and Igor prepare a "crudo di pesce" a unique experience Igor suggest paring our food with a unique rose' Wine
100% Sangiovese grape from Tuscany "Operandi" to say a perfect execution will be limited my experience is way above perfection

I have attended many cooking classes, and urge you not to miss this one. You begin as a group of 20 strangers assembled to learn, First you get a glass of wine, and then proceed with a lesson that has you making pasta and more. Some items are made by Igor, the owner, and others are hands-on with everyone making their own. Your pasta is cooked by the restaurant and the class ends with everyone sitting down at a community table to share what was made and drink more wine. It took about 4 hours and by the end the strangers were all friends. Igor is so helpful and unpretentious. It comes through that he loves what he is doing. His staff had the patience of a kindergarten teacher! Whether you are visiting Miami, or are a local, don't miss this wonderful experience.

Came to this place as my son in law read the reviews and gave me the heads up... glad he did!!!
Located near mid town and with several self parking spaces.
The place is well decorated and looks like they opened not too long ago... the owner took my reservation and was there when we arrived... for me, a truly authentic Italian and decent prices....
they do offer a wide range of bottles of wine at decent prices, moderate above wine store prices... so its ok... they also have a nice selection of Italian!!
As for food, we had several different plates...
Burrata, very good... on spot and fresh!
The eggplant parmigiana was actually of the best I've had! The olive oil... delicious.... bread was on the a little disappointed side as it looked much better than it tasted... have to say that maybe it was frozen and then not properly unfrozen, where you lose that crunchiness!!!
I had the farro (barley) with mushroom sauce... it did state wild mushrooms and there I could not get that... hopefully next time they will have a variety of fresh wild mushrooms....
Desert was on the good side, the Tiramisu was very good! The lemon pie was also very good...
Service was above average on the way above average!! Congrats on that too...
All in all a great experience, will come back soon!!!
Enjoy
