The hotel is lovely. The food in the restaurants is tasty. Best of all is the staff. i've been to hotels around the world but never have so many staff members been so friendly and gone out of their way so often to be helpful. In particular, Maritza in housekeeping, Giovanni luggage service and Ruddy at reception. Our room 816 was well appointed , always clean and bathroom had separate toilet room and shower room. The view of the water and the balcony with chairs made it special. We ate breakfast in the dining room and there were many selection, all of them delicious. We were there for a family wedding and our clothes for the occasion were assessed and praised by the staff and they inquired the next day about details. It was like being among friends.

I have been fortunate to work for a company that meets in nice places and allows us to stay in many Ritz-Carlton’s. This hotel does not meet those standards. Couldn’t even get a late check out. Construction everywhere, noisy and slow service. Drilling above the spa in the middle of the afternoon; broken glass on the balcony. Plenty of nicer places in Miami. Great steam room in spa but again noisy.

We did an overnight to shorten our trip to the airport on our way home from the keys and simply loved it. The hotel was very clean and had apparently just done a renovation. Our room was very spacious and incredibly clean. It was also in walking distance to a bunch of restaurants and was just a great experience.
Overnight Valet was very helpful and kind.

Stayed here with my girlfriend for the holiday weekend. We took the Brightline down from Fort Lauderdale and caught about a $10-12 uber over to the Grove.
Check-in was smooth, and we were served Champagne upon arrival. The staff greeted us warmly and offered to confirm our dinner reservations nearby. The lobby has a small restaurant and the overall ambience of the lobby was good.
We had a corner room with a nice view of pool with a balcony. Comfy bed and linens, bathroom had a tub and a shower and was spacious. The corridors of the hotel have more of a musty or dank smell perhaps giving it a feel that the hotel is older or more of a boutique. Each floor has different carpet designs right now it seems.
The pool area was under construction so we had some noise in the mornings with the crew working. However, the pool was open and we spent some time there one afternoon.
It's really close to Bayshore Drive where you can walk to just about all the restaurants in the Grove. It's close to Marinas and parks with plenty of things to do. We were able to go see Vizcaya which is about 10 minutes away as well as the Fairchild Botanical Garden Light show.
Service was good and prompt. About what you'd expect from a Ritz, but nothing above and beyond. Felt right at home and would welcome the opportunity to stay there again in the future.

Sadly you will not get the great service and facilities that you would expect from a Ritz here. Extremely slow and not particularly friendly waitstaff in lobby restaurant and by pool, and unbearable construction near the pool/spa (was all I could hear during my treatments). Would have changed hotels but we were trying to make the best of our short stay. Do not recommend.
