Heritage village in Largo is a nice day away from the house. Many historical buildings to look at and tour through. Makes one appreciate the convienences we have today. Spending some time in the out doors walking around is relaxing. The Botanical gardens next door are also a pleasure to walk through.

I wish the county would add more staff. It was cut in 2008 and the economy is better. The County depends too much on volunteers. The older ones are passing on but the vacancies are not be g filled as quickly.

Many thanks to the volunteers who still work there.

Amazing experience, it really is like stepping back into the past. The village is incredibly educational with a real nostalgic feel.
We have visited the area for 9 years and only visited this vacation, we will return on every trip.
The site relies on donations and they make every dollar count. They also rely on volunteers.
The high lights are the mercantile store and the train station, however all are fascinating.

One of the best Village recreations I have visited. All building well maintained and furnished. The docents were knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Our favorite was the General Store/Gas Station. The staff did an extraordinary job cleaning up in one week after Irma. Note: No charge, donations appreciated.

If you are curious about the history of the area you might enjoy this place. There are old homes and structures from back in the day, a mini museum with some artifacts that have been donated and a gift shop.

This vist to the Heritage Village brought back beautiful memories of my grandparents hom and their lifestyle. The homes, furnishings and accessories are period authentic. The docent knew her history and is familiar with the period and history of these buildings. The train station, the bandstand from Williams Park and the school is naustalgic for us. This is a great example of living history to teach the young generations about the experience of their ancestors. There examples of homes from the upper class as well as the middle and lower classes of that period. This exhibit is doing a fine job of preserving these examples of Pinellas County history.
