We eat here a few times a year and the value and the quality and quantity have declined. The last visit was awful as far as service. Took two hours to eat and had to beg for more wine. Bang Bang keeps getting smaller and has been almost inedible tasting like it was cooked in old oil.
We ate here again last night and while the Bang Bang still was very meager, again, something if off with the recipe. Green beans weren't as flavorful and overcooked and the jasmine rice looked "flaky" instead of fluffy.
The highlight of this visit was our waiter, Hunter. On his "A" game. Haven't had that good of service at Bonefish in the last year. We may have to take a break from this place which is a shame as there aren't too many places to choose from in Lakeland.

The reservation policy at Bonefish needs scrutinizing by the management. My wife and I arrived 23 minutes early for our 5:00 p.m. reservation, and asked if we could go ahead and be seated. The host told us that we'd have to wait until closer to our actual reservation time. We didn't mind waiting and received our text message about 14 minutes later and were seated. We looked around the dining room and were surprised to see 15 empty tables. When we finished our meal around an hour later, the room was filling up, but still, there were a few empty tables. It wasn't really clear why we had to wait. The server was friendly, and the food was good.

We can say only good things about this restaurant. The service is attentive and friendly, and the food is very enjoyable. The complimentary bread is fabulous, and the main dishes are very, very good. They know how to cook a perfect tuna steak. High marks for everything. Even the pricing is very fair.

Parking? You should arrive about 20 minutes before your reservation. This will give you time to tour the parking lot. You'll need to circumnavigate the lot several times to locate a space for your car. If you happen to park in an adjacent business' lot, you can be towed. What an evening!
The food was okay, and the menu was varied enough for those who are finicky. My wife and I were there for almost two hours finishing our dinner. Our waiter was good, whenever he showed. He explained there was a special event occurring in the bar, and that's why we got the slow service. That made me feel better.
The restaurant's location is terrible, but would be fine for, say, a Dentist's office, or a CPA. It was noisy. It was not my most enjoyable evening.

Our dinner at Bonefish Grill was tasty but not memorable. Our server Hunter was great (he gets 5 stars), but unfortunately the food did not match Hunter's efforts and left much to be desired.
The seared ahi tuna, which we had had on earlier visits, was way below par this time. Instead of the normal rich red color, the fish was a dark reddish brown, almost the color of cooked beef. There was an odd undertone to the flavor, like it was old or something similar, and the sauce that was liberally covering it was quite spicy and there was a lot of it, almost as if they were trying to cover up the substandard fish with tastebud-numbing hotness.
The crab salsa and guacamole dish was interesting but not outstanding, and the chips that came with it were oily and not really crisp.
The pineapple-glazed shrimp over coconut risotto sounded interesting, and the pairing was o.k.... By itself, the risotto would have been too sweet and sticky, but the spiciness of the shrimp tempered it and the combination was acceptable, but not memorable and not re-orderable for me.
All in all, the visit was a disappointment. Not all our visits to Bonefish have been like this one, so we may go back. But we will probably stick to old favorites like the simple grilled salmon and not try any cool-sounding hybrid offerings.
