If you are anywhere in the area of Lake Alfred whether you are local person or a traveler passing through our small town, you need to stop in and eat at the Lake Alfred Diner for some yummy, tasty comfort food. They are especially known for their wonderful breakfasts that will fill you up with all of the delicious favorites from their variety of breakfast plate choices. Their blueberry pancakes are a favorite but they serve up bacon, sausage, ham, eggs, grits, hash browns, biscuits n gravy, just about anything you want and you can select what you want your plate combo to be.
Their sandwiches are also excellent and with their fresh crispy fries you won't go away hungry. We love to order their entree meals with the sides to eat in or we often call our orders in for take-out and bring them home to eat. Fried chicken, creamy mashed potatoes, fried okra is one of my favorites. But I love liver and onions and really don't like to cook it at home. LA Diner makes "the best" liver and onions prepared with bacon and piled with onions and gravy served with country mashed potatoes and whatever other side you pick from their very long list. Sometimes I get their delicious sweet corn on the cob or the country-seasoned cooked green beans. Want something really good then order up their.yummy meatloaf with some rich macaroni 'n cheese, and black-eyed peas. Always ask your server about the day's fresh desserts of the day. The offerings of good country cooked meals are so many that you can go there and enjoy, enjoy, enjoy and you don't get tired of visiting.
The Lake Alfred Diner has a full menu but also posts "Daily Specials" as shown on the photo in this review. These change from time to time so you will want to check the "Daily Specials" board often to see what is new.
The wait staff servers are very attentive to their tables and so friendly and fun too. You can visit the Lake Alfred Diner's facebook page to see some more of the menu items and get a better taste of the food and the atmosphere of the diner from the photos posted there by other visitors. Come on over and dine on some "dee-li-cious" food and enjoy the small town feeling at the Lake Alfred Diner.
