The location is great! Beautiful scenery and being across from Snappers provides entertainment and convenience. The management is not professional and has poor customer service skills. We arrived mid-afternoon and found we had no hot water in the bathroom. We notified the desk clerk, who seemed to be unconcerned. The maintenance person was at the desk also, and seemed even less concerned. He finally agreed to check on the problem while we at dinner. We returned later and still no hot water. The next morning, we left to explore the island and thought they would address the problem. They did not! End of day 2 and still no hot water. After cold showers, we returned to the same surly desk clerk and he said he didn't know if anything was done about the water problem. When we complained about the poor service, he offered a 10% discount that he said would be credited the day after we left. A couple days later, we received a $15 refund. Our bill was over $400. It must be some new math.

Stayed here with a few friends for two nights. We were really excited about coming here after looking at the pictures we saw online. Boy were we disappointed!!! We were arriving by boat and it was all downhill from there. We were confused when we pulled up and couldn’t find the marina - because it was gone!!! We had to call the front desk and they told us we in the right spot and to tie off to the concrete sea wall. I guess the hotel owner decided to pocket their hurricane insurance money and not rebuild. To add insult to injury we got WAY overcharged for “docking” our boat here. Trying to navigate around all the old concrete piers where the dock used to be was a nightmare.

The hotel itself may have been nice 10 years ago, but whoever owns and maintains the property now is letting it waste away. Everything was in disrepair. Lots of illegal repair work like running really thin extension cords for permanent power. Work like this, not performed to code, is a safety hazard to all guests. The room itself was dirty - furniture torn up, carpet stained, drywall falling off the wall. Lots of noise from people walking on the 3rd floor above us. The 3rd floor also had a balcony danger taped off because the railing was falling off. Don’t come here with young kids or they may go right off the edge.

The “continental breakfast” was also a huge disappointment. The food selection consisted of Twinkie’s and Little Debbie cinnamon rolls, with bland flavorless coffee and powdered creamer to go along with it. It’s a real shame because the dining room had an amazing view.

If you want a spring break hotel room you can cram a bunch of people in and not worry about a damage bill, maybe this is your spot. But if you want a nice spot in Key Largo to come and relax with friends or family, stay away!

Location, location, location! This hotel has a beautiful view, as it's right on the water. The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly, and Snappers Restaurant next door makes it just about perfect. My only gripe is the television reception. We only got about three channels. Every other channel we were unable to watch. Not sure if it was due to the satellite, the wind or just started telling general but it was very disappointing.

I NEVER leave bad reviews and yet I felt this one was necessary.
We booked thru a 3rd party and had to leave shortly after check-in.
The room we first checked into had mold in the vent. The 2nd room was in the same building and the vent was cleaner than the previous, yet still, mold. The 3rd room, much better, even had a balcony facing the water, and no mold in the vent, but when I was doing my rounds and checking for bed bugs (always necessary), I got on my knees and the floor was wet. You could even see the line from the water damage on the floor, like it had dried. Also, could visible see mouse and roach traps in the bathroom as well as cigarette butts on the balcony.
The gentleman at the front desk was very polite and accommodating and really tried to make things work for us, so we appreciated that! As well as the manager!

Room tip: Corn hole and ping pong. Bech towels available and kayaks.

Cons- there’s these weird doors in the room that connect directly to the room next to you. It’s unsettling to say the least. Makes it so you can clearly hear whats going on next door. Like every word. The people next to us kept us up all night the first night. I tried calling to tell the front desk but no one was there or got back to me about it the next day. Got to the point where we just left after one night even though we paid for a couple nights. It’s the first time in my life I’ve had to do that at a hotel. Didn’t feel safe that people next door had a door right into our room.

Pros- bed was comfortable and clean. There’s a bar next to it that’s pretty nice. There’s a pool and a corn hole area that’s nice. The grounds are clean

I would NOT go back or recommend it.
